You have to also think about what could happen on online too. Gta4 was way to extreme and Gta5 is too little car damage would have to be based on how much armor you buy for your personal vehicle, and handling off your upgrades it would make stealing cars off the streets much more of a risk and a last resort and much difficult to get away, the plus side of using cars off the streets means you can ditch them easily but using your personal vehicle would have the cops put it down on record making it easy to spot you if you, if they see you next time

That’s the thing. People have to stop hoping and wishing for realism in GTA. That would slow the process down and the fun simultaneously. It would always be a hassle to have your car picked up or call and pay for MMI. I’m glad the game isn’t too realistic. It’d reflect real life too much. At that point, just experience life 💀

Mannnn me an my old friend used to literally play chase as we tried to lose each other in the alleyways of GTA4s map. If that isn't enough proof the pysics were far, far better, and way more rewarding, idk what is.

my god how I hate this mix of blades and metro dashes 3:34 is it really clear winner? What about wreckfest? Plus it's not fair to compare this + euphoria + all other physics like shooting, and not to mention that all of this was made for ps3 and xbox 360 hardware 16:17 nope, it was at least in gta sa, easier to do this with max driving stat 17:27 but you can do this in gta 4 and sa 29:21 but what about 2v2? If I remember correctly, passengers lean out of the car when shooting, like in gta sa, which is just cool

Curiously, if you install the Xbox 360 version of GTA5 from disc, without any update, the game has better physics than the same version but updated.

Players spawn at the neatest hospital only when killed by other players. Making gun fights less annoying and less constant Killing a Ceo boss should cost u money. Killing a bike club president makes other bikers randomly pull up on your ass n kill u non stop depending on ur aggression I can't even have a girlfriend npc in this?... why come back to my apartment then Getting drugs ready takes too much effort

People be killing each other for really no reason. This ain't even a street game anymore with all these weird ass vehicles n gun upgrades. The game should have automatic gangs as greens VS purples VS yellows... and the fact u hav a shotgun,pistol,sniper,bombs,ARs,smgs,knifes and rocket launchers in ur butt hole... the movement is insanely sloppy and clumsy. Locking on targets and even picking the target u want to shoot is broken. Npcs be crashing into u in vehicles and on foot. Also this is the first game I've played where the ragdoll effects are so useless at times, dude be losing balance way too easy San Andreas moves even better...also takes forever to stand back up. Missle shooting vehicles shouldn't be here. Bullet proof wips should have Bullet proof windows.... spending 1,000,000+ for stuff and can't even spawn them when u want n how u want? I rather play story mode n spam cheat codes endlessly, why do u spend minutes for u to get ur next vehicle. Why does the sniping feel like controlling a security camara. U can't quickly choose an emo action. Folks be begging for a team players. Animations on interactions take so fucking long to get smt done and sometimes u need to walk in circles at a time to get dat perfect position. Seeing tht players enjoy Killin each other for 3 hours straight for no reason there should be pop activities making u be busy all the time (these challenges makes no sense) make someone go defend something weather or not you are boss, this makes everyone too busy to spam kill each other hours at a time and we should be collecting GTMs (grand theft money)... missle locks should never be also its OP and almost no tactics to this. U can even equip missle jammers on what vehicles u want making it harder to get blown by oppressors. Oppressors should use SKILLS to get the KILLS. And why does every player know that I have drugs selling. The only way of playing gta online is playing by playing invite only (single player in a multiplayer)

Gta 5 was underwhelming trash. 4 was far more impressive.

Great video. 2:10 that was very cool and thoughtful transition, fair play 🙂 GTA IV's driving gameplay is SO satisfying that I'm still returning to play the game every so often to this day just to drive around and listen to music, and mess about. The feel of everything is just spot on, especially the mass and deformation of the vehicles. It really complimented a game which has so many other elements that are wonderfully thought out and executed. Truly makes for one incredibly engaging experience overall, and why it'll always stay with me. We're all looking for that special someone. GTA IV is one of them because it's brimming and oozing with depth and character 😊🥰

I think in gta 6 they should handle more closely to gta 4 but when you add wings and splitters it increases the downforce value or stiffer suspension that reduces body roll and brings them closer to gta v handling at the expense of top end speed due to more drag and makes the car more sensitive to bumps due to the stiffer suspension. In the end it would allow you to tune your cars to have a closer handling model to what you personally prefer.

Based on the info we have on GTA 6 so far: The handling and physics are gonna be somewhere in between GTA 4 and 5. And that sounds like heaven for me. Soft enough to chuck the car around at slow speeds, Tight enough to feel somewhat confident on a long straight. And it's probably going to be most fitting for a new, much larger audience than before. Just like Forza Horizon has nailed a good balance between Sim and Arcade.

You CAN control your car in air in gta iv,you have just press the handbrake in air and control with steering stick ,how easy ist this

In Gta V/online if you drive the Brickade 6x6, Brute Stockade or Any large truck over too many light poles you have an high chance to be sent flying wirh the whole vehicle

I loved the driving physics in GTA4 and was shocked when I found out many years later that a lot of people didn't and was disappointed that GTA5 brought them back so much. Driving in GTA4 was so satisfying and not just tedious A to B travel, there was actually some gameplay to the driving and was in fact realistic unlike what many people thought.

The biggest issue with the driving in GTA 4 is that the stupid camera would spin around by itself if you used the handbrake making it more of a hindrance than a helpful utility.
